Waterford Quilt Guild Activities

Bees - Quilters work on their own projects.

        1st Wednesday of the Month   10:00AM - 02:00PM
            Purcellville Train Station

        3rd Wednesday of the Month   06:30PM - 09:00PM
            Purcellville Library Upstairs Meeting Room (Participants often meet at a local restaurant
                prior the bee; information will be announced at the monthly meeting and in 
                announcements sent by the Town Crier.)

Heirloom Quilting: Held on the first Monday of each month at Carver Senior Center in Purcellville from 9:00AM - 12 Noon. Members work on their own special projects.

Exchange Blocks: Sign up is required.  Those who participate present one block and have it made for them by all the participating members.  In return, each person in the group makes the other members blocks as they are presented. The Chairperson collects completed blocks and distributes to the owner; maintains records of incomplete blocks and sends reminders.

Secret Pals – Each year members have an opportunity to sign up to be a secret pal to another member. Gifts are exchanged in brown paper bags during the year (suggestions: fat quarters, a completed block, notions, etc.), price should not exceed $5 per month.

President’s Block : The vice-president selects a pattern and distributes it to each member to make a block to be given to the outgoing president at the December meeting.

Annual Challenge Quilt: Each year a theme is selected and presented at the January meeting for members to challenge themselves with a new technique, design, or “interesting” presentation related to the theme. Challenge quilts are presented at the November meeting.
